Climb For Africa Kilimanjaro Challenge

Summit Mount Kilimanjaro as dawn breaks over Africa. This trek begins in the heart of the rainforest and ascends through an ever-changing landscape of rocks and jagged features finally revealing breathtaking views and glaciers.

Kilimanjaro, "The Roof of Africa", is the highest mountain on the continent and a magnet for trekkers the world over.

We follow the beautiful 7 Machame Route which offers an alternative to the six-day itinerary, with an extra day in-between days 5-6 to allow for further acclimatisation and more rest.

It approaches Kilimanjaro from the south, and the six-day trek starts in dense tropical rainforest, and passes through some of the mountains best features – the Shira Plateau, Barranco Wall, and Karanga Valley – on the way to the summit.

This is a tough, but achievable route with the correct training. It is spectacularly rewarding with stunning views and a good acclimatisation feature on day five.

Registration fee: £299

Minimum sponsorship target: £3,000

Self-funding and mixed-funding options available: please email or call 0161 238 5486.

What others said about Trek Kilimanjaro

"The climb was the hardest thing any of us have ever done, but I would highly recommend it. The sense of achievement, with such a dedicated group of people all working towards a common goal, was phenomenal. I have made some friends for life. And there is only one way to describe the summit emotional!

– Angela Jones, Trek Kilimanjaro, 2012
