MAG vacancy: Regional Operations Manager

Manchester, UK

£45,768 - £51,780 per annum (plus contributory pension)

Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will provide hands-on leadership for MAG's programmes, including direct management of HQ staff and distance management of Country Directors. You will be expected to ensure quality delivery of country operations and compliance of grants and contracts.

The postholder will contribute to regional strategic approaches, supporting Country Directors in the development and implementation of business plans, including coordinating expansion into new countries and the development and strengthening of donor relationships.

The successful candidate will have excellent project management, business planning and budget management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. Previous experience of working in a senior management position within a development or humanitarian organisations is essential.

A thorough knowledge and understanding of conflict recovery and development is required as well as an understanding of donor and contractual requirements. This is a demanding position that will be suited to a highly motivated, solution-focused and flexible individual. The postholder will also be expected to travel extensively within their regional country portfolio.
